Kim Kardashian is in a trademark dispute over the brand name SKKN. In April, reports said Kim K filed trademark applications for SKKN by Kim on March 30th—with rumors swirling that the new name may replace KKW Beauty.

Since Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West, it makes sense to change her brand name, which Coty’s Sue Nabi mentioned in July. Coty owns a 20% stake in KKW Beauty.

While fans eagerly await the launch of the new beauty line, expecting it to be called SKKN by KIM, there’s a glitch—Beauty Concepts LLC sent Kim K’s lawyers a cease and desist letter, TMZ reports. Beauty Concepts claims it’s been using “SKKN+” for three years, applied to register the logo in March, and adding “by Kim” does not differentiate it.

Stay tuned to see what happens next. In the meantime, KKW Fragrance is still up and running, as well as the lingerie line SKIMS by Kim.
